#MomLife Blog

#MomLife may be the best, most accurate hashtag on the internet! I realize if you aren’t a mom, you may not agree but let me tell you why I am most certainly correct in this assertion….

  • Being a Mom is the hardest job in the entire universe!
  • From carrying a child, to child birth, breastfeeding to potty training, teaching to discipline, being a mom will test your patience and willpower more than I ever thought possible! Every little thing you do or say is being absorbed by this tiny little brain that is just looking to you to shape them as a human! ahh! Talk about pressure!!! You never sleep, you run around like a chicken with its head cut off, your house is always a mess no matter how many times a day you clean up and your once on point outfits are covered in “stuff” shall we say 90% of the time.

  • Being a Mom is the only job you can equally hate and adore at the exact same time!
  • My bff says “I totally took for granted being able to take a shower or poop without a child staring at me” hahaha! Now isn’t that the hard truth! But then at the same time she says “I’m so grateful for the unconditional love my kids show me, they always love me no matter how much I might think I failed in the mommy department that day” awwww :)

  • Being a mom changes you in so many unexpected ways
  • Some changes are difficult, some very difficult, like the sacrifice of your time and energy and in some cases a robust social life. But other changes are profound and heartwarming, like the pride you feel for this little person and the never ending joy you feel from every single smile or laugh. Although so many things change when you become a mom, I’m sure we all agree that once you experience this amazing change, you wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

  • Being a mom is funny!
  • I can tell you without a doubt, that in my experience, I have never laughed so hard in my life than since the day I became a mom! I know every mama says this, but...my kid is hilarious! The way she plays with her dolls and puts them in time outs and has them “smooch” each other, the way her language is developing but not quite on point yet (ex. she says she loves “whores” ...im pretty sure she means horses) or the way she sings..or screams “Let it Go” like her little life depends on it! I just cannot get enough and she just makes me laugh til I cry every. single. day. :)

To all you amazing mama bears out there, I hear ya, I feel ya, I respect and love ya!

    Xoxoxo!
